16 August 2026 | Seeta Community Church
Sunday, 16 August 2026, was a special day for Seeta Community Church as we gathered to dedicate our new church building to the glory of God.
It was a day filled with worship, praise, thanksgiving, celebration and fellowship as we looked back on the journey and thanked God for bringing us this far.
We were honoured to have Rev. Peter Kasirivu, Senior Pastor of Gaba Community Church and a spiritual grandfather to Seeta Community Church, with us for this special occasion. He shared a powerful message under the theme:
Let the King of Glory Come In
Rev. Kasirivu reminded us that while many people worked, prayed, sacrificed and gave towards the building, ultimately God is the One who builds the house.
From Psalm 127:1, he reminded us:
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it.”
The dedication was therefore not simply about a new building. It was about stopping to thank God for His faithfulness and to recognise His hand throughout the journey.
He challenged us to remember why God has given us this house. It is to be a place of worship, a place where believers are equipped, and a place where people who do not yet know Christ can come and hear the Gospel.
The building should not simply be a place where we gather every Sunday. It should be a place of prayer, teaching, discipleship, ministry and mission.
One of the strongest reminders from the message was that the building is not the church—the people are the church. The new facility is important, but what matters most is what God will do through the people who gather here.
Rev. Kasirivu encouraged us to guard the house and, more importantly, guard the church—walking together in unity, worshipping God and remaining faithful to His purpose.
A Day of Worship and Celebration
The service was filled with powerful moments of worship and praise. As we lifted our voices together, there was a deep sense of gratitude for all that God has done.
After the service, the celebration continued with fellowship, food and joyful moments together. One of the highlights was the cake-cutting ceremony, as church leaders, guests and members joined together to celebrate this important milestone.
There was plenty of joy, laughter and thanksgiving as the church family celebrated what God had done.
Looking Ahead
The dedication of this building marks a new chapter for Seeta Community Church.
Our prayer is that this house will always be a place where God is worshipped, believers are equipped, families are strengthened and people encounter Jesus.
As Rev. Peter Kasirivu prayed:
“May the glory of God fill this house. May the lost be saved in this house. May the saints be equipped in this house. And may the presence of God never depart from Seeta Community Church.”
16 August 2026 will remain a special day in our history—a day of thanksgiving, dedication and celebration.
Above all, it was a day to declare:
Let the King of Glory Come In!
To God be all the glory.
